Review of CONFRONTING THE VOID by Steve Lazarowitz
www.BooksForABuck.com, February 2005
Science has advanced in this near-future story, but humans remain the same--caught up in their own interests, their own politics, and their own ambitions to conquer the stars. Brandon had discovered something--but he wasn't able to go through channels with his knowledge. He could, though, use his psychic connection to Jack. What Jack didn't know was whether that was a good thing.
Author Steve Lazarowitz spins a powerful adventure tale as Jack plunges from the moon to a secret 'dark-side' base and then to a spaceship that seems out of control. His psychic link to his friend provides him information, but induces him to take risks he never would have dared before. On the ship, facing certain death, Jack learns more about himself and his relationship with others than even his psychological practice would have led him to believe possible.
Lazarowitz is at his strongest when probing the relationships between people and the strange power our minds have over both ourselves and reality. In this very short novel, he takes the reader on a fascinating ride.

Ilona Hegedus at Novelspot says: "Confronting The Void by Steve Lazarowitz starts as a science-fiction adventure with mystery elements, but turns out to be much more than that, a journey to the depth of the human psyche. Well worth reading." Check out the entire review here.
